Dear CHS Parents,
This Saturday, September 6, 2014 will be our first school day. We would like to bring your attention to the following:
1. There will be a Welcome Meeting for New Parents this Saturday, at 11:00 am in the cafeteria. We encourage all new parents to come. Current parents are also welcome to join. Please come and meet key staff and PTA representatives; and find out more about the school curricula, cultural programs and PTA activities.
2. Please familiarize yourself with the location of the classroom for your child/ren, to improve traffic efficiency on day 1. You can find the information at http://www.chsnj2000.org/year/student-assignments/
Please note that there is a floor plan (for classroom location) at the bottom of the page. Please also note that a password is required to access this information.
3. We would like to remind you about the Facility Entry Policy that the South Brunswick School District required of us:
- Please use the front door (at parking lot along Major Road) as the main entrance.
- A doorbell will be placed at the back door near the cafeteria when PTA resources are available.
- Please come to school on time (5 to 10 minutes before 9:30am). Doors are locked when classes are in session, although there will be staff near the front to open for people affiliated with CHS.
- Please do not open door for anybody you do not know. Please make sure that the door is locked behind you and do not put any object to keep door open.
4. Thanks to the generous donations we have received from friends and parents, CHS will be giving out backpacks with CHS logo to K1, K2, C1, CSL1 and new students. Also, like in last year, we will also be giving out textbooks or workbooks to the students to keep. (There are a few exceptions which the class teachers will notify you separately.) Please teach your child/ren to take good care of the books. Some books are actually to be used for multiple years, so please wrap them with a cover as appropriate.
